Carrying out a Risk Assessment before you embark on an activity is important to identify the potential hazards and risks that might cause harm, and to identify the precautions that will minimise the risk. Here are a number of templates offered by Dioceses in the Church of England to help you see what might need to be included. Please check that the Risk Assessment meets your needs and adapt it if required.
For activities with under 18s (including online activities) parental/carer consent needs to be obtained. Again, a number of templates are included here for you to adapt to your own situation. If the activity (including online activity) is taking place on behalf of a Church of England Parish, the PCC needs to give its approval.
Your Diocese will be able to give you up to date advice and guidance.
